1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Stride Clinic.
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our website, www.stride-clinic.co.uk, and the arrangements under which Stride Clinic provides professional podiatry, foot healthcare, assessment and associated treatment services.
Stride Clinic is committed to providing professional, safe, compassionate and evidence-based healthcare services while maintaining clear and transparent arrangements with patients and website visitors.
These Terms and Conditions explain the responsibilities of Stride Clinic and its patients, including arrangements for appointments, consultations, treatment, payments, cancellations, refunds, medical information, confidentiality and the use of our website.
By accessing our website, you agree to comply with the website-related provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
When booking or receiving clinical services, the relevant appointment and treatment provisions apply as part of the contractual arrangements between you and Stride Clinic, to the extent that they have been properly brought to your attention and incorporated into your agreement with us.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or replace any legal rights or professional protections to which patients are entitled.
We encourage patients to read these Terms and Conditions carefully before arranging an appointment or receiving treatment.

3. SCOPE OF OUR SERVICES
Stride Clinic provides a range of professional podiatry and foot healthcare services.
These include routine skin and nail care, treatment of corns and calluses, management of ingrowing toenails, nail surgery, verruca treatments, foot health assessments, lower-limb examinations, foot pain management, rehabilitation, biomechanical assessments, gait analysis, foot scanning, insoles, orthotics and selected aesthetic podiatry treatments.
Services may include clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, preventive healthcare advice and recommendations for ongoing care.
The availability of any particular treatment depends on clinical suitability, practitioner availability, the patient's individual circumstances and the resources required to provide the service safely.
Not every treatment is appropriate for every individual.
We reserve the right to recommend an alternative treatment, request additional medical information, delay a procedure or refer a patient to another healthcare professional where this is clinically appropriate.
We do not guarantee that every condition can be fully resolved through podiatry treatment.
Treatment recommendations are based on professional clinical judgement, available evidence and the individual patient's needs.
4. PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical services are provided in accordance with applicable professional standards and legal requirements.
Podiatrists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council are required to comply with the HCPC's professional standards of conduct, performance and ethics, together with the relevant standards of proficiency.
These standards include requirements concerning patient safety, professional competence, informed consent, confidentiality, effective communication and appropriate clinical recordkeeping.
Stride Clinic is committed to treating patients with dignity, respect and consideration.
We aim to provide care that reflects individual needs, circumstances and preferences.
Patients are entitled to receive appropriate explanations about recommended treatments, potential risks, reasonable alternatives and relevant treatment costs.
Professional clinical decisions will be made with regard to patient safety and applicable ethical responsibilities.
5. BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT
Appointments may be requested through the clinic's online booking facilities or by contacting Stride Clinic directly.
Appointments are subject to availability and confirmation.
Submitting an enquiry or beginning an online booking process does not necessarily guarantee that an appointment has been secured.
A booking is confirmed when the clinic or its authorised booking system provides confirmation of the appointment.
Patients should ensure that the appointment type selected is appropriate for their needs.
Where there is uncertainty concerning the type of appointment required, patients are encouraged to contact the clinic before booking.
We may recommend a different appointment type where the clinical information provided indicates that an alternative assessment or treatment would be more appropriate.
Appointment dates, times and the services being provided will be communicated through the relevant booking arrangements.
We reserve the right to manage appointment availability to maintain safe and efficient clinical services.
6. CLINIC OPENING HOURS AND ATTENDANCE
Stride Clinic operates by appointment only.
Our published opening hours are:
Tuesday to Friday: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Alternate Saturdays: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Closed Mondays.
Appointment availability may vary, including during public holidays, practitioner absence or other circumstances affecting clinic operations.
Patients should check their appointment confirmation before travelling.
The clinic is located at Nant-y-Coy Mill, Treffgarne, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA62 5LR.
Free parking is available in the lay-by in front of the clinic.
Access to the premises involves a short walk along the lane and entry through a small iron gate. There is also a small step from the road to the premises.
Patients with mobility difficulties, accessibility requirements or other concerns affecting their visit are encouraged to contact the clinic in advance so that appropriate arrangements or reasonable adjustments can be considered.
7. PATIENT REGISTRATION AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
Patients may be required to provide relevant personal and medical information before receiving treatment.
This information may include their full name, date of birth, address, contact details, medical conditions, prescribed medication, allergies, previous medical procedures and other relevant clinical information.
Accurate information is important for safe assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
Patients are responsible for providing information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge.
We recognise that medical circumstances may change and ask patients to inform the clinic of significant changes that may affect their care.
Personal and medical information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, professional confidentiality obligations and our Privacy Policy.
8. MEDICAL HISTORY AND DISCLOSURE OF HEALTH INFORMATION
Before certain treatments are provided, patients may be asked to complete a medical history questionnaire or discuss their medical background with the treating podiatrist.
It is particularly important to disclose medical conditions that could influence circulation, sensation, wound healing, bleeding, infection risk or other aspects of treatment.
Relevant information may include diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, neurological conditions, medication use, allergies, previous adverse reactions or other matters affecting clinical safety.
Patients should also disclose relevant changes in medication, symptoms or medical circumstances before receiving treatment.
Failure to provide relevant medical information may affect the suitability or safety of a procedure.
Where important information is unavailable, the clinician may postpone treatment until an appropriate assessment can be completed.
Information provided during clinical consultations will be treated confidentially and used only for appropriate professional purposes.
9. CLINICAL ASSESSMENTS AND TREATMENT PLANNING
Treatment normally begins with an appropriate assessment of the patient's presenting condition, symptoms and relevant medical circumstances.
The treating clinician may carry out physical examinations, functional assessments, gait analysis, neurological assessments, circulation checks or other examinations relevant to the patient's needs.
Following assessment, treatment options may be discussed and an appropriate management plan recommended.
The proposed treatment may differ from the service originally requested if the clinical examination identifies a different underlying issue or a need for an alternative approach.
Where additional treatment, investigations or appointments are recommended, the reasons will be explained.
Any separately chargeable treatment will be discussed before it is provided.
Patients are entitled to ask questions and seek clarification about their assessment and proposed treatment.
10. INFORMED CONSENT TO TREATMENT
Valid informed consent is an essential part of professional healthcare.
Before providing treatment, the clinician will explain the nature and purpose of the proposed procedure to an extent appropriate to the patient's circumstances.
This may include information about expected benefits, material risks, possible complications, reasonable alternatives and the option of declining treatment.
Patients should be given an appropriate opportunity to ask questions and make an informed decision.
Consent may be obtained verbally or in writing, depending on the nature of the treatment and relevant professional requirements.
Certain procedures, including nail surgery and other interventions involving particular risks, may require additional consent documentation.
Patients with capacity to make the relevant decision may withdraw their consent at any time.
Withdrawal of consent will be respected, subject to any immediate clinical measures reasonably necessary to maintain safety.
Consent to one procedure does not automatically constitute consent to unrelated procedures.
11. TREATMENT RISKS AND POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS
Podiatry treatments, like other healthcare procedures, may involve risks or potential complications.
The nature and likelihood of these risks depend on the treatment and the patient's individual medical circumstances.
Possible complications may include temporary discomfort, tenderness, swelling, bruising, bleeding, skin irritation, infection, delayed healing, changes in sensation or an incomplete response to treatment.
Some conditions may recur or require further assessment, additional procedures or longer-term management.
Before undertaking treatments involving material risks, the clinician will explain the relevant considerations and available options.
Patients should promptly report unexpected symptoms, worsening pain, signs of infection, unusual swelling or other concerns following treatment.
Where urgent medical assistance is required, patients should seek appropriate emergency healthcare rather than relying solely on routine clinic communications.
Stride Clinic does not exclude responsibility for harm caused by negligence or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. NO GUARANTEE OF SPECIFIC CLINICAL OUTCOMES
Every patient responds differently to healthcare treatment.
Treatment outcomes may be influenced by the nature of the medical condition, its severity, underlying health factors, adherence to aftercare advice and individual biological responses.
Although Stride Clinic aims to provide effective, evidence-based healthcare, it cannot guarantee that a particular treatment will produce a specific medical result.
Some conditions may require multiple appointments or continuing management.
A reduction in symptoms may not necessarily indicate that the underlying condition has been permanently resolved.
Similarly, a condition may recur even after appropriate treatment has been provided.
Any information concerning expected recovery times, likely outcomes or treatment effectiveness should be understood as clinical guidance rather than a guarantee.
This provision does not reduce our duty to exercise reasonable care and skill or affect any statutory rights concerning the quality of services supplied.
13. APPOINTMENT CANCELLATIONS BY PATIENTS
We understand that patients may occasionally need to cancel or rearrange appointments because of illness, emergencies or changes in personal circumstances.
Patients wishing to cancel or rearrange an appointment should contact Stride Clinic as soon as reasonably possible.
Early notification allows the appointment to be offered to another patient and helps the clinic manage its clinical schedule.
Cancellations may be requested by telephone, email or through an available booking-management facility.
Any applicable cancellation fee or notice requirement must have been clearly communicated to the patient before the booking was confirmed and must comply with consumer protection legislation.
A cancellation charge, where lawfully applicable, must be fair and proportionate and must not operate as an unreasonable penalty.
Relevant circumstances, including genuine emergencies, may be considered when reviewing a cancellation.
These arrangements do not affect any statutory right to cancel a contract where such a right applies.
14. MISSED APPOINTMENTS AND LATE ARRIVALS
Patients should make reasonable efforts to attend appointments at the agreed time.
Arriving late may reduce the time available for treatment and could affect the clinician's ability to complete the intended service safely.
Where a patient arrives substantially late, the clinic may need to rearrange the appointment.
Clinical decisions concerning whether a shortened appointment can proceed will take account of patient safety, the treatment required and the needs of other patients.
If a patient does not attend an appointment without providing notice, any charge will be subject to the cancellation and missed-appointment terms disclosed before booking and applicable consumer law.
We do not automatically treat every missed appointment as grounds for retaining the full cost of treatment.
Any applicable charge must be reasonable, transparent and proportionate to the circumstances.
15. CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING BY STRIDE CLINIC
There may be circumstances in which Stride Clinic needs to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
Examples include unexpected practitioner illness, equipment failure, operational difficulties, emergencies or other events affecting the safe delivery of treatment.
Where reasonably possible, patients will be informed promptly and offered an alternative appointment.
If the clinic cancels a paid appointment and cannot provide an acceptable alternative, any payment relating to the service not provided will be refunded where required by law.
We will not impose cancellation charges on patients for appointments cancelled by the clinic.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes any additional legal rights that may arise where the clinic fails to provide an agreed service.
16. PRICES AND TREATMENT FEES
Treatment prices may vary depending on the service provided, the complexity of the condition and the time or materials required.
Where prices are published on our website or through our booking arrangements, they will be presented as clearly as reasonably possible.
Patients should be informed of the applicable price before committing to a treatment or service.
Where an initial consultation identifies the need for additional investigations, procedures or separately chargeable treatments, the relevant costs will be explained before the additional service is provided.
We will not knowingly undertake additional chargeable services without appropriate patient agreement.
All prices are stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise indicated.
Any applicable taxes will be handled in accordance with relevant legislation.
Prices may be updated periodically. Changes to advertised prices will not automatically alter an existing confirmed agreement.
If an obvious pricing error is identified before a contract has been formed, the correct price will be explained and the patient will be able to decide whether to proceed.
17. PAYMENT TERMS
Payment arrangements will depend on the service being provided and the terms communicated during the booking or treatment process.
Payment may be required when making an appointment, before a procedure or following completion of treatment.
Where a deposit or advance payment is required, the amount, purpose and relevant cancellation arrangements will be explained before the patient commits to the booking.
We may use third-party payment service providers to process payments securely.
Payment information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection and payment security requirements.
Patients should ensure that payments are made through an authorised payment method.
Where an invoice is issued, payment should be made in accordance with the agreed payment terms.
We reserve the right to pursue legitimate unpaid charges through lawful and proportionate procedures.
Any disputed charge will be considered fairly, and patients are encouraged to contact the clinic promptly if they believe an invoice or payment request is incorrect.
18. REFUNDS AND CONSUMER RIGHTS
Refund requests will be considered in accordance with the circumstances of the transaction, the terms communicated at the time of booking and applicable consumer protection legislation.
Where a service has not been provided because of cancellation by Stride Clinic, the patient may be entitled to a refund.
Where a patient cancels a booking, any refund or lawful deduction will depend on the agreed terms, applicable cancellation rights and the clinic's reasonable losses.
Advance payments will not be treated as automatically non-refundable merely because they were described as deposits.
Where a service has not been performed with reasonable care and skill, patients may have legal rights to an appropriate remedy.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include repeat performance, a price reduction or another remedy available under applicable law.
The fact that a medical condition has not improved as hoped does not, by itself, establish that treatment was provided improperly.
However, this does not affect a patient's right to raise concerns about the quality or suitability of care.
Refunds will be processed using an appropriate payment method and within any time limits required by law.
19. ONLINE AND DISTANCE BOOKING RIGHTS
Appointments may be arranged remotely through the clinic's website, by telephone or by email.
Where a contract is formed remotely, applicable consumer protection legislation may provide additional information requirements or cancellation rights.
The statutory rules depend on the nature of the transaction, the services involved and any applicable exceptions.
Where a statutory cancellation period applies, Stride Clinic will respect that right and provide the information required by law.
Where treatment is requested or supplied within an applicable cancellation period, any entitlement to payment for services already provided or any restriction on cancellation rights will be determined in accordance with the relevant legal requirements.
Patients are not required to surrender statutory consumer rights simply because an appointment has been booked online.
Separate legal provisions may apply to goods, including specially manufactured items, and these will be considered where relevant.
20. ORTHOTICS, INSOLES AND CUSTOM-MADE PRODUCTS
Stride Clinic may provide or recommend insoles, orthotics and related products following clinical assessment.
Certain products may be selected, adjusted, prescribed or manufactured to meet a patient's individual needs.
The suitability of an orthotic device depends on factors including the patient's condition, foot structure, biomechanics and the intended purpose of the product.
Patients should follow the instructions provided regarding fitting, gradual introduction, use, maintenance and review.
An adjustment period may be necessary, particularly where a device changes the way pressure or movement is distributed.
Patients experiencing persistent discomfort or unexpected symptoms should contact the clinic for appropriate advice.
Where a product is manufactured to a patient's individual specification, relevant cancellation rights may differ from those applying to standard products.
Any specific ordering, cancellation, alteration or fitting arrangements will be explained before the patient commits to the purchase.
Products supplied must comply with applicable consumer rights concerning satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and conformity with their description.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes those rights.
21. NAIL SURGERY AND INVASIVE PROCEDURES
Certain conditions, including some ingrowing toenails, may require surgical or invasive treatment.
Before such treatment is undertaken, the clinician will assess whether the procedure is appropriate and explain the nature of the proposed intervention.
Relevant information may include the expected benefits, possible risks, aftercare requirements, healing considerations and available alternatives.
Medical circumstances affecting wound healing, circulation, bleeding or infection risk may require additional assessment.
Patients may be asked to provide informed consent and follow specific instructions before and after the procedure.
Follow-up appointments may be recommended or required to assess healing and identify potential complications.
Patients are responsible for following reasonable aftercare instructions to the best of their ability.
If symptoms worsen or unexpected complications develop, appropriate medical assistance should be sought promptly.
The provision of a surgical procedure does not guarantee that a condition will never recur.
22. AESTHETIC AND COSMETIC PODIATRY TREATMENTS
Stride Clinic may offer aesthetic or cosmetic podiatry services, including treatments intended to improve the appearance of nails or feet.
The suitability of such treatment depends on the condition of the affected area, the patient's health and the materials or techniques involved.
Before treatment, relevant limitations, potential risks and expected outcomes should be explained.
Cosmetic appearance may vary between patients, and results can be affected by individual healing, nail growth and underlying medical conditions.
Aesthetic procedures will not be undertaken where the clinician considers them inappropriate or unsafe.
Patients should disclose allergies, sensitivities or other relevant medical concerns before treatment.
Nothing in this section restricts statutory rights or professional responsibilities relating to the quality and safety of treatment.
23. AFTERCARE AND PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Patients may receive verbal or written aftercare instructions following treatment.
These instructions are intended to support recovery, reduce avoidable complications and assist with ongoing foot health.
Depending on the procedure, aftercare may include wound management, hygiene recommendations, footwear advice, activity modification, exercises or instructions concerning prescribed orthotic devices.
Patients should make reasonable efforts to follow the guidance provided and contact the clinic if they are uncertain about any instruction.
Patients should not disregard worsening symptoms, possible infection or other significant medical concerns.
Where further clinical assessment is required, additional appointments may be recommended.
Patients retain the right to make informed decisions about their own treatment and may decline recommendations.
Failure to follow advice does not automatically remove a patient's statutory rights or the clinic's professional responsibilities.
24. REFERRALS AND COLLABORATION WITH OTHER HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS
Some medical conditions require assessment or treatment beyond the scope of podiatry.
Where appropriate, Stride Clinic may recommend that a patient consult their general practitioner, another registered healthcare professional or an appropriate specialist service.
Referrals may be recommended where further investigation, specialist treatment or multidisciplinary care would benefit the patient.
We will explain the reason for a proposed referral where appropriate.
Relevant medical information may be shared with other professionals where there is an appropriate lawful basis and where the disclosure complies with professional confidentiality obligations.
Patients may also choose to obtain a second clinical opinion.
The clinic cannot guarantee the availability, waiting times or outcomes of services provided independently by other healthcare organisations.
25. CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND PATIENTS REQUIRING SUPPORT
Stride Clinic recognises that children, young people and adults requiring additional support may have particular needs concerning healthcare communication, consent and confidentiality.
Where treatment involves a child or young person, relevant legal and professional requirements concerning capacity, consent and parental responsibility will be observed.
A young person who has sufficient understanding and capacity to make the relevant treatment decision may be able to consent independently in accordance with applicable law.
Where a patient lacks capacity for a particular decision, treatment and decision-making arrangements will comply with the relevant legal framework.
Parents, guardians, carers and representatives may be involved where appropriate and lawful.
We aim to communicate clearly and respectfully with all patients and provide reasonable support and adjustments where required.
26. ACCESSIBILITY AND REASONABLE ADJUSTMENTS
Stride Clinic is committed to treating individuals fairly and without unlawful discrimination.
We recognise our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, including the duty to make reasonable adjustments where applicable.
Patients with disabilities, restricted mobility, sensory impairments, communication difficulties or other access requirements are encouraged to contact the clinic before attending.
The clinic will consider reasonable adjustments having regard to individual needs, the premises, available resources and applicable legal duties.
The clinic's physical access arrangements include a short approach from the parking area, an entrance through a small iron gate and a step from the road.
We aim to provide clear information about accessibility so patients can plan their visit appropriately.
Any concerns about access or communication requirements may be raised directly with the clinic.
27. PATIENT CONDUCT AND CLINIC SAFETY
We expect patients, visitors and clinic personnel to treat one another with courtesy and respect.
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or violent behaviour towards staff, other patients or visitors will not be tolerated.
Patients should respect the privacy and dignity of other individuals attending the clinic.
Where behaviour creates a genuine risk to safety, the clinic may take proportionate steps to manage the situation, including postponing or ending an appointment where appropriate.
Any decision to decline or discontinue non-emergency services will take account of professional responsibilities, patient safety, equality obligations and the need to avoid inappropriate abandonment of care.
Reasonable efforts may be made to explain the decision and provide relevant information about alternative healthcare arrangements where appropriate.
28. INFECTION PREVENTION AND HYGIENE
Maintaining an appropriate clinical environment is an important aspect of professional podiatry practice.
Stride Clinic is committed to following relevant infection prevention and control requirements.
Clinical equipment, treatment areas and reusable instruments will be managed in accordance with applicable professional safety and hygiene standards.
Patients may be asked to follow appropriate infection prevention instructions where these are necessary to protect themselves or others.
Patients should inform the clinic if they have an infectious condition, symptoms that may affect the safety of treatment or other relevant concerns.
Where a proposed treatment presents an unacceptable infection risk, the clinician may recommend postponement or an alternative arrangement.
Such decisions will be made on appropriate clinical grounds and with regard to relevant legal obligations.
29. MEDICAL EMERGENCIES
Stride Clinic is an appointment-based podiatry service and is not an emergency department.
The website, contact forms, emails and routine appointment services must not be relied upon for immediate emergency medical assistance.
Patients experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency should call 999.
Where urgent medical advice is needed but the situation is not life-threatening, patients may contact NHS 111 or another appropriate urgent healthcare service.
Symptoms such as rapidly worsening infection, severe unexplained pain, significant loss of circulation, severe bleeding or other potentially serious medical developments should receive timely medical assessment.
General information on our website must not replace appropriate urgent medical attention.
30. WEBSITE INFORMATION AND MEDICAL DISCLAIMERS
Information published on www.stride-clinic.co.uk is intended to provide general information about podiatry, foot health, available treatments and the services offered by Stride Clinic.
Although we aim to provide accurate, relevant and up-to-date information, website content is not intended to constitute an individual medical diagnosis.
The information should not be treated as a substitute for a consultation with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Medical conditions may have similar symptoms but different underlying causes.
Visitors should not make significant treatment decisions solely on the basis of general website information.
Where symptoms persist, worsen or cause concern, appropriate professional advice should be obtained.
We may update website information as clinical knowledge, services or professional guidance develops.
Nothing in this section limits responsibility for misleading statements, negligence or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
31. ACCEPTABLE USE OF THE WEBSITE
Visitors may use the Stride Clinic website for lawful personal purposes, including obtaining information about our services, contacting the clinic and arranging appointments.
Visitors must not knowingly use the website in a manner that interferes with its security, functionality or availability.
Prohibited activity includes attempting unauthorised access to website systems, introducing malicious software, deliberately disrupting services, misusing contact forms or submitting fraudulent information.
Visitors must not use the website to infringe the rights of other individuals or organisations.
We may take reasonable steps to protect website security and prevent unlawful or abusive activity.
Any restrictions imposed on website access will be proportionate and consistent with applicable law.
32. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND WEBSITE CONTENT
Unless otherwise indicated, the original content published on the Stride Clinic website, including written materials, original photographs, branding and design elements, is owned by Stride Clinic or used with the permission of the relevant rights holder.
Such materials may be protected by copyright, trade mark law and other intellectual property rights.
Visitors may access and view website content for lawful personal, non-commercial use.
Content must not be reproduced, distributed, republished or commercially exploited without the necessary permission, except where permitted by law.
The use of external software, imagery or other third-party materials remains subject to the rights and conditions established by their respective owners.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions prevents legitimate uses permitted by copyright law.
33. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES
Our website may include links to external websites, booking services, professional organisations or other third-party platforms.
These links are provided for convenience, relevant information or access to associated services.
Third-party websites may operate under their own terms, privacy policies and data protection arrangements.
Stride Clinic does not control independently operated websites and is not generally responsible for their separate content, security arrangements or business activities.
The presence of an external link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement of every statement, product or service provided by that third party.
Where an external provider acts on our behalf, our relevant contractual and legal responsibilities remain applicable.
Patients are encouraged to review the terms and privacy information of external services before providing personal information.
34. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY AND TECHNICAL INTERRUPTIONS
We aim to keep our website accessible and functioning correctly.
However, website availability may occasionally be affected by maintenance, technical faults, connectivity difficulties, hosting interruptions or other circumstances.
We may temporarily suspend access to parts of the website where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security or operational purposes.
We cannot guarantee uninterrupted website availability.
Where an online booking facility is unavailable, patients may contact the clinic using the published telephone number or email address.
Technical interruptions do not remove existing contractual obligations or statutory rights relating to confirmed appointments or paid services.
35. PRIVACY, CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION
Stride Clinic recognises the importance of protecting personal and medical information.
Personal information collected through the website, appointment processes or clinical consultations will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
Health information is particularly sensitive and is subject to additional legal safeguards.
We are committed to respecting professional confidentiality obligations and using patient information only for lawful and appropriate purposes.
Relevant information may be shared with other healthcare professionals or service providers where lawful, necessary and consistent with professional responsibilities.
Our Privacy Policy explains the categories of information collected, the purposes of processing, the lawful bases relied upon, relevant retention considerations and individual data protection rights.
Our Cookie Policy explains the use of cookies and similar technologies on the website.
Both policies form part of the wider information provided about our digital services and personal data practices.
36. COMPLAINTS AND CONCERNS ABOUT SERVICES
Stride Clinic is committed to providing professional healthcare and addressing concerns fairly.
If a patient is dissatisfied with an appointment, treatment, communication, payment arrangement or another aspect of our service, we encourage them to contact the clinic.
Concerns may be submitted by email, telephone or written correspondence.
We will aim to acknowledge and consider complaints within a reasonable period, taking account of their nature and complexity.
Where appropriate, complaints may involve a review of relevant records, discussions with those involved and consideration of any reasonable remedial action.
Patients will not be treated unfairly for raising genuine concerns about their care.
Where a complaint concerns professional conduct or fitness to practise, patients may also seek information from the Health and Care Professions Council about its regulatory processes.
The HCPC regulates individual registered health and care professionals; it does not act as a general consumer refund service.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions restricts a patient's right to seek independent advice, exercise statutory consumer rights or pursue an appropriate legal remedy.
37. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Stride Clinic will provide its services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable legal and professional requirements.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Nothing excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other matter for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Nothing restricts a patient's statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable legislation.
Where a service has not been provided with reasonable care and skill, any available legal remedies will remain unaffected.
We are not responsible for treatment outcomes that differ from reasonable expectations solely because of individual medical factors, provided that our relevant legal and professional obligations have been met.
Any assessment of responsibility will depend on the particular facts and applicable law.
These Terms and Conditions do not seek to exclude liability for failure to provide an agreed service or for a breach of professional duty.
38. CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND REASONABLE CONTROL
From time to time, circumstances outside the reasonable control of Stride Clinic may affect the delivery of services.
These may include severe weather, natural disasters, utility failures, serious technical incidents, public health emergencies, unexpected restrictions on access to the premises or other significant events.
Where such circumstances prevent an appointment from proceeding, we will make reasonable efforts to inform affected patients and arrange an appropriate alternative.
Any payments and contractual obligations will be addressed in accordance with the circumstances and applicable consumer law.
We will not rely on circumstances beyond our control to remove rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
39. FAIR CONTRACT TERMS AND CONSUMER PROTECTION
Stride Clinic is committed to maintaining fair and transparent arrangements with patients.
These Terms and Conditions are intended to comply with applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Services must be provided with reasonable care and skill.
Where relevant, information provided to patients about the clinic or its services may form part of the contractual agreement.
Where a price or timeframe has not been agreed, applicable consumer law may require a reasonable price or performance within a reasonable time.
Terms concerning cancellations, deposits, changes to services and refunds must be fair and transparent.
No provision in these Terms and Conditions should be interpreted as depriving a consumer of rights that cannot legally be excluded.
If a contractual term is found to be unfair or unenforceable, the consequences will be determined in accordance with applicable law.
40. CHANGES TO SERVICES AND PRICES
Stride Clinic may review and update its services, published prices, clinical procedures and appointment arrangements.
Such changes may reflect developments in healthcare practice, professional requirements, operational costs or service availability.
Updated information may be published on our website or communicated directly to patients.
Changes will not automatically alter an existing confirmed contract or remove rights arising under an agreement already made.
Where a proposed change materially affects a confirmed service, patients will be informed and their applicable rights respected.
Where agreement to a change is required, the relevant consent or agreement will be obtained.
41. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically to reflect changes in legislation, healthcare standards, business operations, website services or other relevant circumstances.
The updated version will be published on www.stride-clinic.co.uk with a revised effective date.
Changes to website usage terms may apply to future use of the website.
Changes to contractual terms will not automatically be imposed retrospectively on existing confirmed treatment agreements.
Where an amendment materially affects an existing agreement, any applicable requirements concerning notice, fairness and agreement will be observed.
Patients are encouraged to review these Terms and Conditions periodically.
42. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising in connection with the website or services will be considered in accordance with applicable law and relevant consumer protection provisions.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved directly, the parties may seek an appropriate legal remedy through the courts or another lawful dispute resolution process.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions removes any mandatory consumer protections or rights concerning the court in which a consumer may bring proceedings.
43. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
The invalidity or unenforceability of one provision will not automatically invalidate the entire agreement.
Any affected provision will be treated in accordance with applicable law and the rights of the parties.
44. ENTIRE AGREEMENT AND ADDITIONAL CLINICAL INFORMATION
These Terms and Conditions should be read together with the specific appointment information, treatment explanations and contractual details communicated when a service is arranged.
Additional clinical consent documentation may apply to individual treatments, particularly where a procedure involves particular medical risks.
Where a separate agreement or specific treatment arrangement has been properly agreed, that agreement will be considered alongside these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in this section excludes pre-contractual information that is legally binding or prevents a patient from relying on statements that form part of the contract under applicable consumer law.
These Terms and Conditions do not replace informed clinical consent or the individual professional judgement required when providing healthcare.
